Keep your battery charged longer and the inside of your trailer cooler with LED lighting. This White Water Retro Mod is one of the best ones you can do and it only takes minutes to complete. One of the main benefits, other then making your battery last longer, is keeping the inside of your travel trailer cool. The factory lights in your RETRO are horrible, turn them on for a minute and then put your hand over the light, it’s almost insane on the amount of heat being put off. In the winter time this may be a benefit but if your dry camping you want your battery to last as long as it can and LEDS consume far less energy then traditional light bulbs.

So what’s the deal with these LEDS? Well they last up to 10 years, they consume very little energy around 1.3 watts per bulb and they are a direct replacement for your factory bulbs with about the same brightness. These bulbs will stay cool to the touch no matter how long the bulbs are on for which helps keep your White Water Retro cooler in the summer. You can buy a pack of them for as little as $10.00 but I opted to buy a premium brand just for a few dollars more.

I purchased mine from Amazon HERE , there are plenty to choose from, the goal is to find a t10 wedge LED bulb. Make sure to pick the correct color spectrum when choosing your new LED bulbs, the factory lights are a warm white but I did opt for neutral lights instead of the warm which have a blue tint to them. If you want a warm white light check this link out HERE.

I just placed my order for LED lights as well based of of your recommendations. Thank you.

I ordered a “drinking” hose and dehumidifier as well.  I may start a post on finding black mold/mildew in the fridge this weekend.  It pained me to my core because the trailer still has that “new trailer smell”.  I didn’t have the fridge running and I had the doors shut.  I think that was the cause.

Thanks again.

Thanks for this!  Our battery life is noticeably better since replacing the lights throughout our 181B.  Cheers!
