Purchased a 177 SE.  The stove top requires a match or fire stick to ignite.

Added this igniter kit to have push button ignition.

The kit can be purchased at the local hardware store.  Install can be done using hand tools.

Very nice write-up! Its very annoying these stoves didn’t come with an igniter, to begin with.

I want one of these! 
This last weekend was our first trip with our 177SE, (and it was absolutely everything I’d dreamed of! <3 ) but when we went to light the stove to make coffee, tea and breakfast on Saturday, my husband turned it to “lite” and nothing happened!

Oops. Guess who thought “lite” meant it had an igniter, because she hadn’t read the manuals. And, no lighter, no matches, nothing…
