Hello Everyone – we are David and Debbie. We bought a 2016 Red & Grey 177SE in September 2015 and pull it with a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport-turbo. The Santa Fe has a 3500 lb towing weight, but we do have to use load stabilizer bars (that attach to the hitch and the trailer frame) to level the car out. We’ve taken it to Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Big Bend, and several state parks from our home in central Texas (around 3000 miles so far) and have REALLY enjoyed it. No problems so far and tows perfectly. Thanks Kristopher for creating this site.

David and Debbie,
Welcome to the forums!
Thats exciting to hear that you have had great success towing your White Water Retro 177 SE with a smaller vehicle. I’m sure there will be plenty of people who want to tow with a smaller vehicle. Are you using one of the EAZ tow kits? I just bought one and its a load stabilizer as well.

We have the Pro Series Weight distribution system. Works very well but kind of a pain to slide the bars up into the hitch. You have to swing them towards the front, slide them up, then swing them back to engage the pin. The pin can break if you try to force them in. I think the EAZ kits are similar.

Hi Kristopher, when I tried to upload a jpg, I got this message. It seems to upload .png files just fine, so I took a screenshot and that worked. Both files are located in the same place (desktop). No problem helping out, I appreciate you setting up this site.David
Hrmm…
I made some more server adjustments to see if that might help this problem. I’m having a hard time replicating the problem as I’m able to upload jpg’s just fine. I did increase the server max execution time so someone with a slower internet connection wouldn’t get timed out. I also have the max image size set at 5mb, but I can see in the picture the image is only 1mb. David what browser are you using I would like to try and mimic your setup. Once again I do appreciate your help on helping me with these bugs.

If I am NOT trying to attach a .jpg everything works fine (like typing this message). When I attach a .jpg everything slows down (even just typing). Kinda weird. But it did upload the .jpg. We will be traveling in California for the next week (unfortunately not taking the camper). I can try some more uploads when we get back.

I love the red and silver coloring on your Riverside 177SE! It’s great that you can pull the travel trailer with a smaller SUV and still be good to go! We had issues with our last travel trailer being too big for our Nissan Pathfinder but our White Water Retro 181 is perfect for it, I’m glad we decided to sell the old one and jump on the White Water Retro bandwagon.
