Hello from Marvin & Angela, 1st time RV’ers from East Tennessee. This is RubySue, the newest addition to our family, a 265BH. Found her on RVtrader.com at Hatfield RV, in Sunbury, OH – a great place to do business. Drove 350 miles one-way in March to pick her up. Plan was to jump in head first, with a maiden trip to the Florida Panhandle for Spring Break.

We’re big National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation fans. We found RubySue’s quote: “I love it here. You don’t got to put your coat on to go to the bathroom. And your house is always parked in the same place.” applicable. My wife is willing to camp, if we have our own bathroom.

Had never pulled/backed a trailer before, so after a few practice loops in a mall parking lot in Sunbury to get a feel for it, we were off. Drove a couple hundred miles & spent our first night out in a pull-thru at the Huntington, WV KOA:

Truck/trailer: Had to trade our Jeep Grand Cherokee to join the RV’er club. Had our eye on a 2016 new-old stock 195, that we were hoping to pull with it. Payload math didn’t work out…

Hi – Love the pink flamingos! And the dogs – such cuties. My hubby surprised me for Christmas with pink flamingo lawn ornaments and a sign he designed in a 50’s style that says “The Krohne’s” to put out when we’re at the campgrounds.

Love me some retro kitsch!

Beautiful camper! I love the navy and the flamingo interior decorations. Cute pups too. Happy trails!
