Spring Break – Navarre, FL
As our first trip, we went to Navarre, FL, near Destin. We’d never seen water so clear. Broke the trip in two, with the first night at Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden, AL, and the first time for a back-in spot. We were nervous, as we’d never done this for real – though I did practice at a local boat ramp parking lot the night before we left. Timing was impeccable, as we arrived at dinner time – everyone in camp was out & cooking – Great…
The group across from us must’ve smelled fear, as they immediately jumped up & came to our aid before we even started backing up. Great people & great first experience – in with no issues.
Emerald Beach RV Park was great – waterfront – good place to spend our first outing. People were great. Retro was the talk of the park. Even was asked to settle a bet, re: it’s age. Some thought it was a vintage resto.
Noccalula Falls is a 90+ foot waterfall gorge, where an Indian princess is said to have jumped to prevent being married to a man she didn’t love.

Pictures doesn’t do the emerald green water justice.

Sunset at Henderson Beach State Park, Destin, FL – this was our favorite beach.

New favorite restaurant – Flounder’s Chowder House, Pensacola Beach, FL – the stuffed flounder was great!
